The writing immediately pulled me in. I normally don't like writing with a third person view (where it switches from character to character) but this was written so well. It set the scene, and the descriptions of the island and people are phenomenal. The author has a wonderful way with words. I want to know more more more! I love the relationship between the sisters Claire and Alison.
