I have a sister and reading this made my heart clench and twist and -need- to keep reading.

From the short bit of story we're given, I can already tell that Claire and Alison's story is one that I want to read. I need to know. Who was Alison? What happened to her? And how could/did Claire deal with this loss? I can't imagine losing my sister, let alone at 7 years old before I was even old enough to know her.

The storylines of murder mystery and Claire discovering more about her sister's identity seem naturally intertwined and beautifully told. The writing in this book was descriptive and emotional, nuanced and focused. I loved all of the details that made these characters jump off the page as if they were real people.

I can't wait to read the rest of this book. Thank you BookishFirst for letting me get a sneak peak, and hopefully I'll get to read the rest soon, but all I can say is that this one is going right at the top of my list. Saint X might be one of my most anticipated releases for the new year.
