The first several pages of this book don't contain the scares referenced in the description or really hint at what is to come. So far, we have met a friend group, one of whom has been missing for two years. The story focuses on the missing girl's sister and the fallout in her personal, school, and family life that results thereafter. There are multiple formats of information presented, including "written testimony" (the main body of the book), interview transcripts, text messages, group chats, and phone call transcripts. All of the evidence presented so far indicates that after Becca's disappearance, something happens when Sara and friend(s) go looking for her. I'm interested in learning what happens.
