I love this opening! It gets right to the point, giving you the background info in a quick little blurb. The pace seems like it will move quickly which is perfect in a horror/suspense story.
I’m also really enjoying the setup- the snippets of text messages and interviews. It reminds me a little of the Illuminae Files that way And is a perfect fit for a YA Blair Witch retelling.
I also love that it’s set in New England, which is where I’m from, and home to many good ghost stories.
