This was an interesting start, but that last page is really what got me hyped to read this book! I like books with multiple formats, or, like, transcript records, like Illuminae or Sleeping Giants, but it seemed like the transcripts were way more interesting than the girl's perspective, but it was also just in the character set up portion of the book, so I'm geared up to read her part once she enters the forest!
