Love the small town haunted legend aspect, & two thumbs up for inclusive diversity
I was first drawn to this book by the beautiful cover when I saw a Goodreads giveaway for it. I entered there but was really excited to see this as one of the Bookish First raffles too.
I absolutely loved the sample provided here. I can't wait to one day finish reading this book. It's right up my alley--- intriguing, creepy, gives me goosebumps. Vanishing Acts reminds me in the best way of the first of RL Stine's original Fear Street books, the tv series Pretty Little Liars, and the movie Hocus Pocus. I love the small town haunted legend aspect of it, especially as it seems to be becoming real.
I appreciate the diversity displayed so far in this book. We've already read about characters of different races, disabilities, and gender preferences. It makes the story even more relatable and perfect for the YA audience it's targeted for.
