I was reminded of the video game Until Dawn.
The beginning of the novel gave me serious Until Dawn vibes, which is a good thing because that game is amazing. It was mostly in the way that the interview was set up, the transcript of it, and the tone, and it hooked me right away.
I really love stories that are inspired by folklore and myths and legends. There is so much one can do with stories like those, and it makes for fun research. What I was able to read has really grasped my attention and I can't wait to read more to get the full rest of the story.
