I enjoy the structure of Rules For Vanishing, with its mix of narrative with evidentiary documents. The narrative is engaging. The premise is intriguing.
Although the story may owe a debt to other books in the horror or suspense genres, it doesn't appear to be a knock off. It echoes the mock true crime style, but maintains a quirky uniqueness.
