I’m not too sure how I feel about this one. Honestly in the beginning I was not invested at all. Alternating POV between Annie and Emmitt and honestly at first I didn’t care for, or connect with either of them. I felt the story was kind of dragging, and slow, while it explained who they are, their back stories, and their goals. However once I kept reading I started enjoying it a little more, and actually started liking Annie and Emmitt with their cute, humorous bantering and post it notes, and actually stopped the whole cat and mouse thing. I understand their connection that they both feel “out of place” in their situations but I just didn’t fall in love with them, which really engages me and I enjoy in a RomCom. I would say the ending saved this book, in my opinion. I thought it was very cute and definitely played with my emotions.
