I have to start by saying this has such a cute cover. The author is super sweet too on Instagram. Very engaging.

But I really liked this romance. I especially liked how this was honestly more than just a romantic story. It had family pairings and job drama and depth. I really enjoyed watching Annie and Emmitt’s relationship grow and change as the story progressed.

Emmitt and Paisley brought a different spin with the uncle and stepdad dynamic as well. That’s what I thought really brought this story further along. It was about Annie and Emmitt. But also Emmitt and Paisley.

Adair’s writing style had me laughing hysterically at some parts and weepy at others. I felt so bad for Annie in the beginning with everything her fiancé was doing. It was so awful to read. But then watching her and Emmitt made me laugh. I loved how Annie blushed so much when around him.

This was cute and I definitely recommend for a different feel of a contemporary romance. Oh and this does not take place in Rome, Italy.
