What a book! From the first page I was sucked in and was already saying “poor Annie!” She has had the worst luck with guys but the beginning of this book really takes the cake! When she gets a new job at a hospital in Rome, she thinks she’s off for an Italian adventure.....JUST KIDDING, there’s a Rome, Rhode Island. But, will it really be all that bad?? In Rome, Annie finds herself in the process of healing from her broken relationship. She also finds herself unexpectedly living with a steamy man. Emmitt was such a complex character and their banter was so fun to read. Read if you like enemies to lovers stories because this is definitely one of those. Emmitt’s daughter Paisley is also one of my favorite characters. She’s going through a lot during her younger years which is heartbreaking but she has a lot of support. I love how her three dad’s rally around her and support her no matter what. ❤️
