Annie has had the worst luck with guys leading to her current situation of living with a ladies man who cants seem to keep women off of him. Emmitt comes home to find Annie living in his house and cant seem to keep his mind off of her. Despite both of their better judgments and efforts to stay away from each other what will happen? Will they be drawn together regardless?
Reading this excerpt I cant help but strongly dislike Emmitt. If you cares so much about his daughter why does he insist on treating other women like garbage with no respect. It seems like he has a good career and with the way he treats women i wouldnt think that he would be able to handle a job that requires so much respect and self control. I dont know how Annie would be attracted to him despite possibly his looks which seems super shallow.
The possibility that Emmitt has some secrets to reveal that explains away some of this behavior makes me want to read on at least a little more. Wondering what happens with Emmits daughter as well as the event that makes Annie decide to let her guard down with Emmitt.
