Full disclosure, I thought this book would be set in Rome, Italy, which it most certainly is not. Apparently Anh Nhi, the female lead, thought the same when she accepted a temporary assignment in Rome, Rhode Island, when she needed to quickly escape her ex fiancé. Her rental is owned by Emmitt, who comes home one night expecting to sleep in his bed and finds a beautiful woman in her underwear. He’s a journalist but has some downtime after an accident he sustained while working on an investigative piece.
I’ve read the first fifty pages and this book is as cute as can be without being overly sentimental. It’s a romance so I already know how it ends. But reading the book to find out how it happens will be a pleasure.
