The cover intrigued me enough to read the first impression. I made the same mistake as Anh Nhi and assumed this book would be about a romance in Rome, Italy. Imagine my surprise when the story takes place in a tiny state in America. From the excerpt, I was drawn into her character. She seems like a woman who puts everyone before herself, a caretaker of others, often forgetting and forsaking her own needs. Emmitt is the quintessential hunk journalist, but his attachment to his daughter keeps him down to earth enough that I am curious about his full character. His smug facade must slip occasionally, and I'm eager to see how the story allows him to show the different sides to his personality. From what I already read, I would be happy to read the rest of this book.
