When I first started reading, my heart went out to Annie, and I really felt for her, and wanted her to get some sort of cruel revenge on her ex-fiance, and especially his new replacement bride! I was intrigued by what she might do, and then Emmitt showed up. I began to lose interest when Emmitt's perspective was written. It was much too sexual for me, not because I generally have a problem with sex, but just that the second he meets Annie he's discussing his major boner and how much he want's her when he doesn't even know her. Makes him very easy to dislike. I can only hope he develops and becomes not so disgusting throughout the book? Not sure what to make of it because Annie is so well written, and Emmitt is not. The cover does seem very reminiscent of a lot of rom-com type books I've seen lately though, so it definitely will draw in the target audience!
