I actually didn't think I was going to love this excerpt as much as I did. The synopsis made meetups feel that I would get annoyed with Annie but I really liked her character immediately. I also love men who are big toughies on the outside but have a sweet, kind heart and Emmitt fits the bill, especially when we see how seriously he takes his role as a father. This book drew me in and I wanted to keep reading it when I got to the end of the excerpt. I can't wait to read this!
