Queer adventures are totally in my wheelhouse! This is a fun, fast-paced book that I stayed up way too late reading ( I don't regret a thing!)
Things I loved:
The Jewish mythology (I didn't know much about it until now)
The queer reps (always amazing)
Short but sweet (action-packed!)
Stand-out characters (I loved them all)
Hard-hitting themes are done with care (bullying, antisemitism)
My only gripe is that I wished it had been a bit longer.
This is a book I wish I had as a kid and a book I will keep on my shelf for my own son to read.
I am a huge fan of the author (I have all of their books), so at this point, I'm going to say they're definitely an auto-read, auto-buy for me. I can't wait to see what happened in the books to come.
I'd recommend this book to tweens and hope to see more books like this to come.
