I'd love this... if I were in middle school....
This book is definitely one that should be aimed more at the target audience... a middle schooler. Although I read it and did somewhat enjoy it, I felt like if you were part of the target audience, you would definitely enjoy it more. I really liked that the protagonist was Jewish, and that the book incorporated some of the lore and myths that go along with Jewish mythology and stories. I was not familiar with them, so I definitely learned something.
This book is definitely targeted at the middle grades, and although it was fun to indulge my inner middle schooler for a few hours, this book was not, on the whole, for me. I usually don't read many books outside of the adult genre, so this one was little outside my wheelhouse.
I though the cover was very attractive to those that it was targeting, and really spoke to the action and adventure of the book.
