I really loved Ring of Solomon. This middle-grade book will be great for young and older readers. The main character Zach has a voice similar to Percy Jackson making this a fun adventure. I loved the Jewish mythology, which taught me about Judaism and my history as a Christian. The book is not preachy; it is just a mythology story, not a book of sermons.
I loved the characters; each one unique. I loved that Zach's best friend is a Catholic girl who loves him and accepts him in his entirety as she is one of the few people Zach has felt coming out to. I won't say anything about the third main character as I feel like that will spoil too much. Just know that we learn to all religions treat "demons" in the same way.
Overall, I loved it and believe this will entertain many no matter their age, religion, or sexuality. I hope Ring of Solomon becomes a series.
