I think that it’s possible that this is a very niché book written for a very specific audience and I personally have learned through finishing this book that I am not a part of that group.

With that being said, the book was well written. It definitely gave the same vibes as the magic treehouse books that were iconic when I was little. Because if this I enjoyed traveling back a little to when I was little and reading something in a similar genre.

There were some aspects that seemed unrealistic in the sense of how characters interacted with each other which is one reason why my score was a little lower than it could have been.

I am thankful for the opportunity to read this. I give it a 3/5, the writing was good, the characters were funny and relatable in most ways. I loved that the main character was a part of the lgbtq+ community. The inclusion is refreshing and the character was not too stereotypical in any way.
