“Zach Darlington buys a mysterious ring at the local flea market, his quiet little hometown is turned topsy-turvy by monsters straight from Jewish folklore and a nefarious secret society focused on upholding an apocalyptic prophecy.”

This book gave me Strangers Things vibes. A group of kids have to save the world from mythological beasts, with the help from a demon. It is very fast paced and easy to read.

My favorite character was Ash, he reminded me of Castiel from Supernatural. Or that’s how I read it. I liked his dry sense of humor. It added that bit of comedic relief.

I don’t know much about Jewish folklore,
so it was nice to learn a little something. I appreciate that it is a fun and effective way to introduce people to something they may not know much about.

Overall, I liked the book. It’s is funny, fast paced and I think both kids and adults will like it.
