The writing style really draws you in and the storyline is intriguing. However, I don't know that I'll finish the book because I feel like some liberties were taken on behalf of the Jewish folklore and I struggle with that.
The concept is really interesting (being able to talk to animals!!) And will definitely appeal to a middle grade audience. I do hope the main characters learns some valuable lessons throughout the story. He has some definite maturing to do.
The cover is okay, definitely screams middle grade which is probably good. It definitely makes you wonder what else is to come.
