This is a good start for a ya novel. Starts as two children finding a ring at the market that was found inside a fish. An interesting start to a fantasy novel. After having the ring it reveals that the holder can talk to animals. At the end of the excerpt a character appears as the king of demons, this isn't going the way I thought it would. Is the ring actually bad? This should be a good fantasy tale.
