This story drew me in from the beginning. I like that it alternates from present time to the 1950’s.I was immediately invested in how the two stories would tie together. There is definite mystery surrounding the old women in the care facility. As the story began it gave a glimpse into the devastation that the Haiti earthquake caused and the pain of families that where split up or lost loved ones. It seems that the story will have a little of everything including mystery, historical fiction and family dynamics. The writing is excellent in that it flows and the description helps the reader to perfectly visualize the setting and the characters. It seems to be a quick, captivating and enlightening read,
