I am a sucker for a good historical fiction book and this is definitely one of them. Rememberance haunts you even after you’ve put it down. The intertwining of different narratives was enchanting. I always believe that no one side of a story is the whole story, making me continually hungry for more narratives. The presence of four narrators makes this book even more worthwhile to read. Just opening this book, I have no doubt that any reader will go down deeper into the rabbit hole to experience love, magic, death, and struggles. It was a deeply moving and harrowing story of strength and perseverance, coming in all different forms. I will definitely be on the lookout for more stories from Rita Woods.
