This excerpt was so intriguing! It has two very different timelines, and both of them are easily distinctive from one another: the settings, the social statuses, the kinds of conversations the characters have with one another. This story is so well written, and I cared about the characters instantly when I first started reading "Remembrance." Along with their everyday lives, there is a creepy/thriller-suspense undertone to this story, and It sounds so good. I can only wonder how these two timelines weave and connect with one another.
