I don't know quite what to think after reading that excerpt. Besides, I need to read more of this.
The blurb is true, but boring. I wasn't excited to try this out based on that. But, once the old woman in the first passage got lively, I was hooked. This reads more like a magical realism unfolding mystery than the typical historical I was expecting re:blurb.
Seriously, give this a shot!
