All I can say about this preview is WOW. Very rarely do I find a book that pulls me in so quickly. Historical fiction is probably my favorite genre, and I absolutely LOVE New Orleans and all it's unique culture and atmosphere. So this preview gripped me instantly and left me dying to read more. I was immediately drawn to both Gaelle and Margot. It's clear that they've been through a lot, and I felt both empathetic towards their characters and curious to know more about them. By the end, I was at the edge of my seat to find out how their storylines are connected. I will definitely be moving this book to the TOP of my to read list!
