A historical fiction novel spanning from 1857 to present day, this book shares the story of a healer working as a slave in Louisiana and a nurses aide in a nursing home. How these two stories connect remains to be seen, though the nurse’s aide seems to have powers as well. A truly engrossing first look, this is a story I can’t wait to finish!
