I was super excited to read this one! I kept seeing it online, saw Meredith promoting it, read the snippets and blurbs and was like "I've got to read this!"
It fell flat for me, it just didn't live up to its hype that I was so used to seeing.
It was super slow in the beginning and the main characters kind of fell flat for me. They just were not that interesting. The story did get better and I am sure the next release and continuation of the story will be as well, but this first part was really just meh.... I continued to read it to know what happened but I constantly had to put it down then come back to it later. I did enjoy the history of the characters, but that was really the most interesting thing about them to me.
Maybe I will need to re read it later. Maybe my mind was just not in the mood for this sort of story at this time.
