Meredith Wild does a pretty good job of introducing the characters Tristan Red and Isabel Foster to her audience. When we find out the two were high school sweethearts until Tristan decides to join the service. When he ends loosing his memory and becoming a hit man for hire after his time at a rehabilitation center, he encounters Isabel. Isabel, herself has run away from her life after Tristan calls things off on their relationship. She ends up in Rio teaching English to children. When Tristan gets ready to kill Isabel, he freezes because she calls his name. The two go on the run and eventually end up in their hometown to ask Isabel’s dad if he has any knowledge of the hit. But the real surprise is momma Foster, whom we find out has been after the family who killed Isabel’s twin sister and they in turn put out a hit on Isabel. Isabel runs again, faking her death and changing her identity. Tristan finds her and in the end, rescues her. Tristan has promised to return to the hitman organization and Isabel decides to join him.

That’s some kind of love! Either it speaks of desperation or devotion - seems like we’re going to have to wait to find out.
