Generally, I have an ardent dislike for novellas. I hate how just as I start to get into the story, it ends, and I also hate how little character development you get. Because of this, I was a bit ambivalent to receive a copy of this collection from Bookish First. Sure, it sounded wonderful, and I had heard really great things about the author, but was it really going to live up to my expectations?
I'm really pretty thrilled to find out just how great this book was. I'll admit, the format of three novellas in one was a little bit weird, but the action-packed story of Tristan and Isabel was totally riveting, and I completely adored their angsty relationship. Overall, this story was complex, fast-paced, and highly addicting. I'm excited for parts 4-6!
I would easily recommend this book to any fans of romantic suspense, as well as anyone looking for an innovative, new story to get sucked into. Great read!
