The excerpt for the Red Ledger was very brief, so it's hard to get too much of a first impression. It's enough to know that Tristan is asking for help from his friend Mateo on what he should do about a complicated relationship with Isabel - who knows more about his past than he does. The excerpt is intriguing, but I wish it was more than five pages long to truly get a feel for the flow and writing style of the author, since I haven't read any of her previous books.
