Initially, when I saw the cover, I wasn’t sure what it was depicting. After looking at it more closely, I see that it is mimicking a journal that is bound with a leather strap which I think is perfect for this book. I had heard of this book from another website and was immediately intrigued when I read the synopsis. The synopsis of this book is unique and grabbed my attention. This sample gave me an interesting glimpse of the story and peaked my interest in learning more about the characters and how the story will eventually end.
