Don't have a good feeling about this one

The synopsis sounded interesting but based on the short excerpt I just have a not so good feeling about the book. It seems like it has the potential to have cheesy dialogue. I can fully admit that I might really enjoy the story if I would continue on reading but I don't really want to take a chance on this one at this time.
