I think Queenie was able toche relatable to many people, but not others. She was all over the place. She didn't know what she wanted in life and made a lot of bad choices. Queenie was able to talk to her friends, but they didn't like her choice. This was my first book by this author and if she writes more books, it would be a hit or miss with me. I think the cover is absolutely gorgeous. I love covers that display beautiful African American and other people of color from different countries and nationalities. The cover is probably what made me decide to read the book instead of the synopsis. I would recommend Queenie only to those that really want to read it. I think the book was overly hyped up and the mixed reviews express that. Queenie was an easy and quick read because of the writing style. It is an adult fiction book and interested readers should read it for themselves.
