As the title of my review would suggest, I have some mixed feelings about this book. I loved reading about an immigrant in London, the clash of cultures, the feeling of two different worlds. I was recently in London and Brixton is incredible, so I loved reading about it! But, I hated Queenie's decisions! It felt like she made every wrong decision every chance she got! I know I should feel empathetic towards her but it's hard when she is frequently the one sabotaging her own life. It got to the point where I dreaded reading the book because I knew she was going to do something I wouldn't like. I mean, I don't expect a book to go completely the way I want it to, but her bad choices (especially regarding men) got to be too much for me to handle without rolling my eyes.
