This one was a little difficult to review because the first half felt like nothing special, just a look at a 25-year old in her quarter life crisis as so many things are going wrong. And then about halfway through, we start to learn about Queenie's many deep-rooted childhood traumas which have inadvertently led to her myriad of questionable decisions. I loved the second half! I loved the frank discussion of mental health and how different cultures view the topic. Being the same age as Quuenie myself, I totally related to a lot of her problems and feelings of confusion and inadequacy felt in her life and job. The mid-twenties are a confusing time and were portrayed incredibly well with vulnerability and learning.

I loved the importance placed on non-romantic relationships, as so many stories rely on the message that "romantic love solves all" Queenie had incredibly genuine feeling relationships with her girl friend group chat and her family which were incredibly heat-warming.
