I was lucky enough to win a review copy [via Goodreads] of this AMAZING book! :)

I don't even know where to begin... I absolutely LOVED this book! I loved the character development, I loved the storyline, and I loved that I was so engrossed in it that I read it like a movie.

Queenie is having a rough time coping with getting dumped by her ex, Tom, and experiences a plethora of "misadventures" along the way. She makes a lot of decisions that some would deem questionable but also makes the effort to find herself. She isn't your average 25-year-old heroine of a YA novel. She's an underdog and I'm rooting for her.

In a way I can relate to Queenie. I went through some dark times and did some soul-searching, but not really knowing who or what I was looking for. Her character was just so interesting to "get to know" - not all books give me this feeling where I can really relate to or vibe with a character throughout the "journey" of the book.

There are a lot of political aspects that are also addressed in this, which I really liked. To name a few, we have moments where we see an active movement for "Black Lives Matter" and the opposing side, hints of feminism/feminist ideals, and the differences of races and classes in London - likewise how that impact is seen during social interactions, in the workplace, and so on.

It was so refreshing to read something with a different perspective.
