I've been hearing nothing but great things about Queenie for what feels like months now, and after reading the excerpt I'm certain that everyone has been telling the truth. This feels like it has the bones of both one of the classic "twentysomething" stories from Sophie Kinsella or Jane Green, but it's already shown itself in these few pages to have more depth and discussion of bigger picture issues, such as the racism Queenie faces with her partner's family. Very excited to read this one.
