I really loved the character of Queenie. She resembles many of today's women and I feel somewhat connected to her since I've straddled my biracial ethnic cultures my entire life. I think every woman has stuff no matter how that stuff is dealt with and this truly develpoed a curiosity for me to want to read and.find out what caused Queenie's stuff.
The book cover is nice with the depiction of a woman with an updo of braids. It shows the Jamaican heritage of the main character even though her ethnic roots go back a couple of generations.
