The story of Queenie interests me because she seems so real. Trying to fit in and be strong and confident, but not quite able to get her voice heard at work or be emotionally open with her soon to be ex-boyfriend Tom. Her family and neighbors seem like robust colorful characters that bring excitement to the story. I love a good story with well developed characters and I can already see so many ways this story will trigger emotions I can relate to.
