This novel begins with the examination of a Jamaican woman's relationship with a British caucasian male, a partial glimpse of her role within her family, and her friends in her job on a newspaper. The author is a natural with conversations, but there were times when the time changes threw me, and I had to back up and re-read to "find my place." Would definitely be interested in reading this book.
