The first thing most people will notice about this book is the stunning orange color and the beautiful hair. Who wouldn't want to have this book in their possession for that reason alone? However, inside holds a story about a woman with a life and experiences very drastically different to my own - one that I want to learn about and empathize with, to expand my worldview. I have been looking for books written by authors of color to read and to share with others and Queenie seems like a wonderful place to start.
