This was easy to read and easy to relate to. Queenie's character is so complicated, and there's so much to unpack just in this first chapter. The pressures of being a child of immigrants, being in a biracial relationship, miscarriage, and I'm sure there will be more as the story unfolds. Hoping the rest of this book is able to give a fresh perspective that addresses the complexities of all these things head on. Can't wait to read the rest!
