I am currently reading All Boys Aren't Blue by George M. Johnson and can't help but draw comparisons. Firstly, it is so important that stories of queer black youth be told, there are so many children that can relate to these stories that are told and lessons that can be taught. Representation matters. I think this memoir does a fantastic job at highlighting some of the author's lived experiences and I think this will make a fantastic audiobook one day. The honest and vulnerable stories in this book are well worth reading.
