I don't read a whole lot of memoirs - it's just not the genre I am usually drawn to, but I'm trying to expand my horizons this year and this sounds like a heartbreaking, amazing story. Just the initial read draws you right in to his story and you can tell it's going to be a tough read, but it's a story that NEEDS to be heard. A lot of people don't want to read the stories of people they can't "relate to," but those are exactly the stories we need to hear.
