I don't read a ton of memoirs or nonfiction in general, but it was really nice to read this author's voice. I gather from his bio and the text that he is from Pittsburgh which is where I grew up, which made this book a lot easier to place into context - not something that I have often experienced. The author has a nice writing style. There is a lot of heart in his writing and also a lot of humor, but he is also able to pack a real emotional punch.
