Witch's Revenge
Princess of Souls was a really good read. I loved the story and the world, and if you were a fan of To Kill a Kingdom, then you'll love it too. The book is a Rapunzel retelling, however, it is not super obvious when you are reading. I think the book could easily stand on its own but it follows a similar plot to Rapunzel and includes references to it. I really loved the magical elements of the book with the details involved in rituals and the magic use.
Selestra is a powerful main character who has been taught to hide and be ashamed of her differences since they make others fear her and because she should be afraid of her powers. Throughout the book, she comes into her power and learns of her strength.
Nox is the other point-of-view character and has a fate intertwined with Selestra. It is interesting to see both his and Selestra's perspectives, especially as they grow to like each other. The beginning of their relationship as enemies stuck helping each other was hilarious.
