This was certainly a interesting approach to a retelling. Most fairytale/myth retelling follow the story very closely, however The Princess of Souls took a different approach, and it did not disappoint. This was a very fun read filled with action and excitement. If you enjoy fun fantasy and intriguing plot lines, you will love this. Enemies to lovers at its finest, this Rapunzel inspired fantasy delivered a wonderful mix of romance and witches. I have not yet read the other installment of this universe (To Kill a Kingdom), but after this, I certainly have intentions to do so.
I adore Young Adult Fantasy/Fiction, although I haven’t read much of it. This book, I am grateful to say, has inspired me to read more of the genre.
In short, I am anything but disappointed in this novel, a blend of sweet romance, action, wholesome friendships, and (of course) fantasy.
